SHORT COURSES

In the past 15 years I have presented a number of short courses lasting from 1 to 7 days at universities, geological surveys, conferences and symposia, corporations and industry groups in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Johannesburg, Tsumeb, Springbok, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Harare, Jeddah, Prague, Heidelberg, Lima, Medellin, Belem, Rio de Janeiro, Beijing, Changsha, Tianjin, Moscow, Lycksele and other locations. The topic was metallogeny, global distribution of metallic deposits, future metal supplies, individual ore types, breccias petrology and metallogeny. In general these courses have been based on my books (read Books) and in most cases they have been custom-made to reflect the interest of the audience and the allocated time. The slide-assisted presentations of the 1980s-1990s evolved into Powerpoint presentations of today. Most courses have been accompanied by printed or CD-ROM notes. I offer on-site short course delivery, some courses on DVD-ROMs, some course notes. Terms and conditions have to be discussed. The following courses are immediately or shortly available, but many other, more restricted topics could be prepared.

LECTURES & PRESENTATIONS

Powerpoint-based heavily illustrated lectures, 30 to 90 minutes long (typically 45 minutes) have been given and are available on a variety of topics. They are suitable for a variety of audiences (university students, professional societies, conferences, symposia, government institutions, industry) and some were presented in camera to small groups, even one-on-one basis. Custom presentations can be prepared

WORKSHOPS, FIELD TRIPS & TRAINING, MENTORING

I have organized, and can custom-prepare, workshops on the same topics as listed above. After re-installation of Data Metallogenica (DM) it might be possible to use this extensive resource as factual support of subjects in ore geology. Successful workshops based on DM were given in the past (e.g. on the IOCG deposits). I can also organize individual or group training and mentoring of junior geologists, in the office or in the field. Inquire.
